I used one of them to move my Bridgeport clone which weighs almost exactly 1 tonne. Even at that weight it swayed around as if it were made of rubber. I don't know how they are allowed to sell them here. In a professional environment they would have to be tested annually and they would never even pass the first time. People must have been killed by these things. I sold mine for more than I paid for it and stuck with my (professional) Weber hoist - no comparison!

Fine looking machine. Looking forward to seeing how you get on.Muzzerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13990281947311778449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7582974294685594749.post-26065103243706463712015-11-23T11:31:00.550-08:002015-11-23T11:31:00.550-08:00Hello,
Nice job of the Holbrook Minor! I have one ...Hello,
Nice job of the Holbrook Minor! I have one of these which I inherited a few years back and am now attempting to get it going, albeit in standard guise. The old chap I inherited it from had bought it cheap due to the cabinet having suffered a small electrical fire when the transformer burnt out. Would you be prepared to sell me your now redundant original transformer if you still have it, and it still works? My email address is ebuchan@tesco.net. Please let me know if this is a possibility.
Thanks, Ewan.Northstarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03583315790921603197noreply@blogger.com
